Is the 2024 Plumbing-House exam already in use?

Humber’s registration site says 2024-code-based Ontario Building Code exams start on March 30, 2026. Confirm your booked sitting if your date is near that transition.

What is the format?

Humber describes Ontario Building Code exams as open-book, 3 hours, with 70 multiple-choice and true/false questions.

What is the biggest study mistake?

Studying all of Part 7 equally. The official Plumbing-House syllabus excludes a lot of non-house or non-core material. Start with the included residential core.

Do I need a BCIN to register?

Yes. Humber says a personal BCIN is required for registration.

Should I study only Part 7?

No. Part 7 is the core, but the official syllabus also reaches into Part 3, Part 9, Part 11, Part 12, and Division C.
