Plumbing-All Buildings 2024 Study Plan - 4 Weeks to Exam Day

A practical 4-week study plan for the Ontario Plumbing-All Buildings 2024 BCIN exam.

Week 1 - Build the full Part 7 map

  • Read the official Plumbing-All Buildings syllabus once.
  • Split Part 7 into materials, piping, drainage, venting, potable water, and special conditions.
  • Start a list of public-building and barrier-free crossover topics.

Week 2 - Core system review

  • Spend one day on each major Part 7 bucket.
  • Focus on scope, exceptions, and where all-buildings questions differ from house-only questions.
  • End each study session with a short retrieval drill.

Week 3 - Occupancy, renovation, and conservation crossover

  • Review barrier-free facilities, public-building plumbing conditions, Part 9 support items, Part 11, and Part 12.
  • Keep a mistake log tied to the wrong occupancy assumption or wrong system bucket.

Week 4 - Timed mixed review

  • Run three or four timed blocks of mixed plumbing questions.
  • Review misses by cause:
    • wrong system bucket
    • wrong occupancy assumption
    • missed crossover topic
    • slow lookup

Final 3 days

  • Re-read your occupancy crossover list.
  • Review weak facility and barrier-free topics.
  • Confirm the exact code cycle tied to your Humber sitting.
