SIDC SCLE Module 6 Study Plan
Use a four-week SCLE Module 6 plan built around the July-December 2026 study outline, current official sources, 12 topics, unseen practice, and timed mixed sets.
Start with one unseen diagnostic
Take a mixed set before reviewing notes. For every miss, record:
- the actor and capacity that controlled the answer;
- the governing statute, guideline, Bursa rule, listing framework, contract, or tort principle;
- the transaction or procedural stage;
- the fact and document that separated the best option from the distractors.
This creates a decision-focused error log and a list of source sections to revisit.
Four-week plan
| Week | Main work | Proof of progress |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Topics 1-3: Malaysian market structure, regulation, legal sources, business structures, and corporate authority | You can assign functions to the correct regulator or market body and identify the source and authority behind a company action. |
| 2 | Topics 4-6: capital raising, listing routes, order and trading rules, conduct controls, clearing, T+2 settlement, and corporate actions | You can trace a transaction end to end and select the right approval, disclosure, control, record, or remedial step. |
| 3 | Topics 7-9: contract law, broker-client capacities and rights, and negligent misstatement | You can establish the relevant relationship and legal elements before deciding liability or remedy. |
| 4 | Topics 10-12 plus mixed retrieval: licensing, investment-advice perimeter, offences, take-overs, and timed sets | You can classify the legal perimeter, offence, or offer route and solve unseen mixed scenarios under time. |
Daily session pattern
- 10 minutes: recall yesterday’s actor, source, stage, and evidence distinctions without notes.
- 25 minutes: study one compact section in the current SIDC material or prescribed source.
- 25 minutes: answer unseen questions from that topic.
- 10 minutes: review explanations, locate the controlling source, and update the error log.
Add one mixed session each week. Focused drills build precision; mixed retrieval proves that you can identify the governing topic before applying the rule.
Two-week compressed plan
| Days | Focus |
|---|---|
| 1 | Topics 1-2: market structure, instruments, participants, law, and regulators |
| 2 | Topic 3: business structures, company authority, and PO governance |
| 3-4 | Topic 4: issue routes, listing markets, disclosure, post-listing issues, and Lodge and Launch |
| 5-6 | Topic 5: trading, supervision, client accounts, conduct, AML/CFT/CPF, and market abuse controls |
| 7 | Topic 6 and first timed full-length diagnostic |
| 8 | Topic 7: contract formation, terms, authority, breach, and Bursa contracts |
| 9 | Topics 8-9: broker-client relationships and negligent misstatement |
| 10 | Topic 10: CMSL/CMSRL boundaries and investment-advice classification |
| 11 | Topic 11: securities offences, evidence, and consequences |
| 12 | Topic 12: take-over types, sequence, parties, and duties |
| 13 | Weak-topic drills and current-source verification |
| 14 | Final unseen timed set, explanation review, and light recall |
Readiness standard
Use varied mixed attempts to identify weak topics, correct guesses and answers you recognize. A practice percentage is not a validated prediction of passing; compare your work with the current official outline and use the study and review guidance to plan the next step.
Use the cheat sheet for final consolidation and the official resources whenever a current rule, version, threshold, approved list, period, or permitted reference matters.
