PSPO II Official Resources: Scrum, Product Ownership and EBM
Use Scrum.org assessment and reading links plus Scrum, Evidence-Based Management and Kanban guides to resolve advanced Product Owner preparation gaps.
Use the assessment page to confirm the rules and the reading list to decide what to study. The guides below support explanation and application; PM Mastery provides independent practice alongside them.
| Resource | What to use it for |
|---|---|
| PSPO II certification | Current assessment format, passing score, booking and preparation expectations |
| PSPO II suggested reading | The assessment-specific competency groups and focus areas |
| Scrum Guide | Accountabilities, events, artifacts, commitments and Scrum boundaries |
| Evidence-Based Management Guide | Goals, intentional experiments, outcome evidence and Key Value Areas |
| Kanban Guide for Scrum Teams | Complementary flow practices without replacing Scrum |
| Professional Scrum Competencies | Broader explanations of the competency model; the PSPO II focus list remains the assessment-specific boundary |
| Professional Scrum Product Owner Advanced course | Optional structured learning about complementary Product Owner stances and advanced work |
Resolve a practice gap with the right source
For a Scrum-rule question, begin with the Scrum Guide rather than treating a complementary technique as a required rule. For a value-measure or experiment question, use EBM and the case’s actual outcome and evidence. For flow, check work definitions and comparable history before interpreting a forecast.
Courses and practitioner articles can offer useful examples. They do not create additional Scrum accountabilities or guarantee an assessment result. Confirm current rules directly with Scrum.org before booking; independent practice does not provide examination admission or official questions.
