SCI CMFAS RES5 Official Resources

Use official SCI, MAS, Singapore legislation, CPF, and MoneySense sources to verify the RES5 version, format, candidate rules, and current requirements.

Start with SCI

Use the official SCI RES5 examination page to confirm the audience, content, 150-question format, separate part-level pass marks, examination mode, study materials, schedule, registration, and current candidate notices.

SCI’s regulatory study-text notice identifies RES5 1st Edition Version 1.3, released on 20 July 2026 and effective for examinations from 22 September 2026. This practice bank targets that version. Candidates sitting earlier should use the study-text version assigned by SCI.

The implementation notice for the new CMFAS examinations explains the transition from M5 to RES5 and the 150-question, 180-minute, two-part format. The transitional arrangements FAQ explains that failing either part requires a retake of the full RES5 module.

Currentity workflow

Before relying on a precise threshold, deadline, notice number, CPF amount, product classification, report, form, or transitional rule:

  1. identify the examination date and applicable SCI study-text version;
  2. identify the actor, activity, client, product, and transaction date;
  3. open the controlling statute, regulation, notice, guideline, or code;
  4. check its effective date and any transitional treatment;
  5. distinguish an operative requirement from a consultation, announced reform, or later-effective rule.
