Current PMP practice

Our current practice follows the PMP examination content outline effective July 2026 . Its three domains are People (33%), Process (41%) and Business Environment (26%). Cases include predictive, agile and hybrid delivery, with AI, sustainability, stakeholder and value-delivery decisions where relevant.

The app bank contains 4,621 original practice questions, checked for this page on September 26, 2026. The free 180-question practice exam provides a public sample with answers and explanations. It is a fixed set: repeating it can measure recall as well as learning.

Practice includes single-answer and multiple-answer questions, calculations, tables and scenarios with competing constraints. These are our learning constructions, not a reproduction of every official exam interaction. Check PMI’s current exam information for exam-day formats and requirements.

Dated improvements

September 26, 2026 - Relationship and transition practice

Added 320 questions to the existing PMP bank, bringing it from 4,301 to 4,621 without removing the earlier questions. The new practice asks learners to trace decision rights, dependencies, benefit handoffs and changes in project state. 300 of the additions include a diagram where connections or a sequence help make the evidence visible; the others use text or tables where those are clearer.

The additions passed technical checks and targeted editorial review of case consistency, explanations, readable labels and diagram layout. These are original PM Mastery learning exhibits, not a claim that the official PMP exam uses the same diagram format.

The fixed free 180-question practice exam now includes six reviewed diagram questions, with two each from People, Process and Business Environment. The page still contains 180 questions in its 59/74/47 domain mix; six earlier questions were replaced in this public sample, not removed from the app bank.

September 16, 2026 - A visible improvement record and direct feedback

This page brings the recent practice and website changes into one place. You can now report a question issue or suggest an improvement directly below, with PMP already selected. Sharing a message does not subscribe you to email updates; permission to publish a quote or name is optional.

September 14, 2026 - Clearer guidance on practice scores

Updated the PMP free-practice guidance and shared study guidance to explain how to use a result: review weak topics, correct guesses, and answers recognized from earlier attempts. A high practice percentage alone is not evidence that someone is ready for the official exam.

Use the study plan to learn and review unfamiliar material, then practice by topic with explanations. Follow with a fresh mixed attempt and targeted review of errors. The cheat sheet supports revision after learning the underlying concepts.

September 6, 2026 - Refreshed public practice and term explanations

Refreshed the free practice exam from the rebuilt app bank so visitors can inspect the current question approach before subscribing. Its 180 questions cover People, Process and Business Environment, with explanations for reviewing decisions after an attempt. Related-term explanations also became available in the app.

The public set includes cases where learners must distinguish approved acceptance criteria from extra expectations, interpret cost forecasts against funding constraints, and allocate limited capacity across competing work. Tables and numerical evidence support these decisions where useful. The purpose is to practice applying the facts, rather than recognizing a familiar management phrase.

September 5, 2026 - Rebuilt practice with broader applied work

Rebuilt the app bank with scenario, knowledge, quantitative and exhibit-based constructions across the current outline. Questions vary the evidence and constraints: some ask for a decision, while others ask for an interpretation, consequence, cause or priority. Greater reading length is useful only when the additional facts matter to that task.

Review covered the plausibility of answer alternatives, the facts that distinguish the best response, and consistency between the answer and its explanation. Targeted corrections clarified cost-baseline and reserve treatment, supplier acceptance timing, resource-allocation assumptions and calculation wording. These checks support editorial quality; they do not establish equivalence to PMI’s exam difficulty.

How we describe quality

Blueprint coverage, clear explanations and defensible answer choices are review priorities. Reported issues and question reviews help us identify further corrections and improvements. Each dated entry describes completed work on a specific part of the practice experience.

PM Mastery practice scores are not validated predictions of a PMP result. Use them to identify gaps, alongside the official outline and study materials suited to those gaps. Our reviews assess content quality; a claim about pass rates or comparative exam difficulty would need separate learner-outcome evidence. Read more about using practice scores .
