Current practice
PM Mastery includes 3,039 practice questions for PMI Program Management Professional (PgMP), with a 170-question free practice exam on this website. The practice covers strategic alignment, the program life cycle, benefits, stakeholder engagement and governance.
These are original PM Mastery practice materials, not official PMI exam questions. Use explanations and varied attempts to identify topics to revisit; a practice score does not predict an official exam result.
Consult the official resources when checking the provider’s current syllabus and exam requirements.
Release history
Question bank first released: March 2, 2026.
Dated updates
October 10, 2026 — More practice finding the decisive information
Added 70 questions and replaced 230 questions, bringing the bank to 3,039 questions. The scenarios cover all five domains and ask learners to identify which question, check or evidence request would resolve a program decision.
Practice includes defining targets, separating additional benefits from baseline savings, confirming resource commitments and interpreting dependencies. Explanations show why another useful information request may still leave the immediate decision unresolved. Seven questions in the 170-question free practice exam were refreshed, with their numbers preserved.
October 10, 2026 — More practice interpreting program evidence
Added 70 questions and replaced 230 questions, bringing the bank to 2,969 questions. The scenarios distinguish evidence of results from completed activities, reports or approvals.
Practice includes selecting the right measurement population, using approved baselines, assessing observation periods and respecting decision authority. Explanations distinguish operational readiness from realized benefits and clarify ethical participation. Seventeen questions in the 170-question free practice exam were refreshed, with their numbers preserved.
October 10, 2026 — More practice with program trade-offs
Added 70 questions and replaced 230 questions, bringing the bank to 2,899 questions. Each answer choice has an explanation, supporting comparison of options using dependency, benefits, stakeholder and governance evidence.
Scenarios include interpreting benefits measures, distinguishing temporary authority from review deadlines and responding to cross-component constraints. Clarifications make prerequisites, measurement populations and calculations easier to follow. Twenty-two questions in the 170-question free practice exam were refreshed.
October 9, 2026 — Expanded program decision practice
Added 70 questions and replaced 230 questions, bringing the bank to 2,829 questions. The scenarios cover all five domains, with explanations for every answer choice.
Practice includes cross-component scheduling, benefits measurement, stakeholder decisions and approval responsibilities. A dependency diagram supports one scheduling scenario. Two retained questions were also corrected: one now states KPI targets and the observation period clearly, and another removes an untranslated word. Fourteen questions in the 170-question free practice exam were refreshed, with their numbers preserved.
October 9, 2026 — An explanation for every answer choice
Every answer choice in the 2,759-question PgMP bank now has its own explanation. Learners can see why each option fits or does not fit the scenario, alongside the broader teaching explanation.
Corrected 16 explanations whose reasoning was unclear, did not match the option or overstated what a document could prove. The 170-question free practice exam also shows each choice’s explanation. Question numbers, answer choices, correct answers and the bank size were preserved.
October 9, 2026 — Clearer decisions and explanations
Corrected 67 questions covering transition criteria, benefits measurement, decision authority, escalation and a savings calculation. Clearer answer choices and explanations help learners follow the evidence behind a program decision.
For example, a transition scenario now recognizes when a required performance threshold has not been met. Another distinguishes evidence available at handover from outcomes measurable only later. The bank remained at 2,759 questions, and the eight affected public practice questions were updated without changing their numbers.
August 28, 2026 — Clearer benefits and roadmap evidence
Corrected unreadable text and symbols in four questions and explanations. The changes clarify a benefits calculation and the timing uncertainty in a program roadmap.
March 2, 2026 — Question bank initial release
Introduced question practice covering strategic alignment, the program lifecycle, benefits, stakeholder engagement and governance, with explanations to help learners practice coordinating related projects and making decisions at program level.
