Microsoft defines AZ-104 scope and exam policies. Use its resources alongside IT Mastery practice, particularly when a question exposes an unfamiliar feature or a difference between older and current Azure behavior.

Choose the resource for the job
- Learning a task: follow a Microsoft learning module and the service documentation linked from the study guide.
- Checking an answer: confirm the operation, supported resource type, permissions, and any stated SKU or version.
- Trying Microsoft’s practice: open the Practice Assessment from the certification page.
- Learning the exam controls: use the sandbox linked from the certification page. It demonstrates the exam interface rather than assessing AZ-104 knowledge.
- Practising varied decisions: use IT Mastery topic drills, mixed practice, and explanations.
IT Mastery is independent practice. It is not affiliated with Microsoft and does not provide official Microsoft exam questions.
Before booking
Schedule through the Microsoft certification page and follow the provider reached there. Microsoft currently lists 100 minutes for the assessment and notes that interactive components may appear. Check your actual appointment details, language, identification requirements, delivery setup, and any approved accommodations.
Recheck the study guide near your exam date. A practice page’s question count does not establish the number or item types on your appointment, and an independent practice score does not determine your Microsoft result.
Turn documentation into practice
After reading an example, explain what would change if its scope, permissions, network path, or recovery requirement changed. Then try a fresh question. Use the study plan to organize repeated gaps and the scenario guide for evidence-reading habits.
