CFA Level III Private Markets Practice Updates and Feedback

October 20, 2026 — Written-response practice available

The Private Markets Essay bank is now available from the Finance Prep Library on web, iOS and Android, with 277 cases and 835 written parts. Write and save responses, compare suggested answers and optionally record your own practice score. This complements the existing item-set bank; it is untimed original practice with editorial scoring guidance, not an official CFA marking service.

Open written-response practice to choose the format. A Finance Prep subscription or access pass includes both banks while your access is active.

October 18, 2026 — Private Markets item sets available

Released 277 original cases and 1,108 attached questions covering the 2027 Level III common core and Private Markets pathway. Each case has four three-choice questions, a general explanation and reasons for every option.

The complete release review checked all cases, calculations, constraints, answer choices and explanations. Six cases were clarified before publication: portfolio holdings after a capital call, an NPV rounding transcription, a current professional-standard title, the conditions waived in a local comparison, a debt-repayment baseline and the starting point for a rate-shock comparison. All answer keys remained unchanged.

The public selection contains 11 cases and 44 questions across all six practice areas. This release supplies item-set practice, not independent written-response assessment or a complete mixed-format Level III mock. Editorial review does not establish psychometric validation or predict an official exam result.
