Finance Prep offers question practice for ACAMS Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS). The main practice page describes the available formats, coverage and app access.

These are original Finance Prep practice materials, not official ACAMS exam questions. Use explanations and varied attempts to identify topics to revisit; a practice score does not predict an official exam result.

Dated improvements

October 15, 2026 — Refreshed control-selection practice

Refreshed 240 existing questions about choosing risk-based controls, assessing monitoring and screening evidence, evaluating technology, and testing whether a control addresses the stated exposure. Every refreshed question includes a rationale for each answer option and focused related terms. One refreshed question uses a payment-network diagram to distinguish legal-entity identity from shared ownership and other relationships.

These are one-for-one replacements within the maintained 3,840-question app bank. No questions were added or removed. The 120-question public practice set is unchanged, and existing study history is preserved.

The review covered these 240 replacements and their earlier versions. It was not a new review of every retained question, and it does not establish official exam difficulty or a passing-score prediction.

October 11, 2026 — Refreshed action and process scenarios

Refreshed 240 existing questions about choosing and sequencing actions across financial-crime risk, compliance programs, governance and investigations. Each question now explains every answer option, making it easier to understand why an action fits the evidence and why the alternatives do not. One question includes a fund-flow diagram for interpreting transaction links and missing identifiers.

These are replacements within the maintained app bank, which remains 3,840 questions. No questions were added or removed, and the 120-question public practice selection is unchanged.

October 10, 2026 — Targeted question and explanation improvements

Reviewed and improved 40 existing questions, including corrections to 38 questions and completed answer explanations on two more. Clarified competing actions, monitoring evidence, reporting authority and risk-based controls; completed each option’s rationale while preserving answer keys and existing study history.

Nine affected questions in the 120-question public practice selection now reflect these improvements. The maintained app bank remains 3,840 questions: no questions were added or removed. This was a targeted review, not a fresh audit of every question.

June 17, 2026 — Related-term explanations

Expanded the published related-term explanations from 948 to 2,764 cards.

June 17, 2026 — Expanded CAMS practice

Added 3,360 questions, expanding the bank from 480 to 3,840 questions. The larger selection provides more opportunities to apply anti-money-laundering knowledge and revisit weaker areas with different practice questions.

May 23, 2026 — Related-term explanations available

Added 948 related-term explanations for looking up the vocabulary used in the practice bank. The definitions and fuller explanations help learners review unfamiliar concepts alongside question explanations.

May 20, 2026 — Question bank released

Released original CAMS practice questions with explained answers in Finance Prep. Learners can use the questions to practise the exam topics and review the reasoning after each attempt.
